Specialty of d.tech
Design Tech High School is a high school located in Redwood City, California that has a heavy focus on the "design thinking" process. In this page, I, current student of d.tech, will go over some specialties of this school from a student's perspective.
Intersession
Intersession is what I think the biggest benefit of going to d.tech is. Every 3 months, there is a 2 week period where you stop taking your regular classes. Instead, for the 2 weeks you will be taking part in 2 courses which you can choose from the total 50+ that is usually hosted. These classes include glass making, virtual-reality, app creation, Volunteering, internships at real companies, and many more.

Design Thinking/D.Lab
What makes d.tech vastly different from other high schools' is its heavy focus on Design Thinking. At d.tech, students take a special class named D.Lab for all 4 years where you dedicate an entire year developing your own technology. We use Design Thinking for the entire process, and present our results to big companies such as Oracle.
